Museum plans summer activities
The Cheshire Children’s Museum has a variety of activities planned for the summer months.
A weekly summer learning series entitled “Mornings with Megan” will be included with admission every Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. Hands-on learning, exploration, and social interaction are part of this series. Themes for July include shapes, animal colors, patterns, and more. Registration is not required and all ages are welcome.
July is National Ice Cream Month. All this month, children can play with the ice cream stand located in the diner. The third weekend of July an ice cream scavenger hunt will be held.
Wednesday Workshop will feature a self-directed craft or math project, LEGO Play is on Thursdays, and Skateboard Fridays will feature the museum’s mini skateboard park available for finger skateboard play.
Saturday, July 5, is Sensory Saturday for families of children with Autism. Live Pets at the Vet with the Monadnock Humane Society will be held on Thursday, July 10, from 10:30-11:15 a.m.
Elm City Music will bring their instruments on July 15 at 11 a.m. for Instrument Petting Zoo which allows children to try out a variety of musical instruments. The Garden Toddlers program Recycle Art Workshops will be offered through July.
