Montgomery and Mansfield featured at authors’ series

Hancock writers, Sy Montgomery and Howard Mansfield, will be reading from their recent works at the Tory Hill Authors Series at the Warner Town Hall on July 12.

Montgomery will be speaking on birdology, chasing cheetahs, Temple Grandin and “The Good Good Pig.”

Mansfield writes about preservation, architecture and American history exploring these issues in articles and books including his latest publication “Dwelling in Possibility — Searching for the Soul of Shelter.”

The evening is the first of four presented by the Warner Historical Society. The readings begin at 7 p.m.

A dessert social and book signing are accompanied by live jazz following the readings.
