Park Theatre is well on its way
To the editor:
In July, the N.H. Community Development Finance Authority awarded The Park Theatre a second tax credit award for the reconstruction of its facility. The Board of Trustees could not have achieved this without the help and support of so many in our communities.
We are particularly grateful to the Jaffrey Chamber of Commerce for its assistance and those area businesses who provided important information to support the theater’s application: Atlas Fireworks Factory, Atlas Advanced PyroTechnics, The Melamine Cup; Jaffrey Country Cafe, Monadnock Inn, Daffodil’s Flowers and Gifts, Belletete’s Inc, Family Dollar, Car Quest of Jaffrey, McDonald’s, Subway, Community Transportation, Black Squirrel Studio, Hampsey & Grenier Associates, Lab n’ Lager Food and Spirits, Jaffrey Eye Care, Candice Starrett Real Estate, Terrapin Glassblowing Studio, Sunflowers Cafe & Catering, Gail Therriault, HKS Realtors and The Currier’s House.
Trustees are also wish to thank the community and civic organizations whose endorsements strengthened the theater’s case for the beneficial impact it will have on the region. We are grateful to TEAM Jaffrey, Jaffrey Grade School, the Jaffrey Select Board, the Peterborough Select Board, Jaffrey Woman’s Club and Arts Alive!, the arts consortium based in Keene.
The tax credit award means that our communities have raised $3.8 million of the estimated $5 million cost to rebuild and reopen this once center of community life. This remarkable achievement is the direct result of the steadfast and generous support of thousands of individuals, businesses and institutions through the Monadnock region, including the ongoing encouragement from the Monadnock Ledger-Transcript.
Thank you, everyone!
on Behalf of the Board of Trustees
