KSC Chamber Singers in concert Saturday, Dec. 1

The Keene State College Department of Music will present a performance by the KSC Chamber Singers entitled “Songs of the Earth, Spirit, and Soul” on Saturday, at 3 p.m.

During the fall semester, the Chamber Singers partnered with the Monadnock Conservancy to learn about its mission, volunteer on conservation land, and prepare concert repertoire centered on the themes of conservation and preservation.

The concert will feature a world premiere performance of Max Vladimiroff’s “Let Them Be Left,” the winning selection from the 2012 KSC Call for Scores.

A lecture panel will begin at 2:30 p.m. moderated by Dr. Heather Gilligan who will be joined by the Monadnock Conservancy’s Executive Director Ryan Owens and composer Max Vladimiroff.

Twenty percent of all concert proceeds will be donated to the Monadnock Conservancy. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens, and can be purchased at the Redfern Ticket Office: 358-2168 or www.keene.edu/racbp.
