Local Look Peterborough held awards ceremony
Local Look Peterborough recognized local video achievements in the First Annual LLP Video Awards ceremony on March 6 at the Peterborough Players theater.
LLP is an online and video-on-demand initiative dedicated to connecting the community to content created for, by and about Peterborough.
The black tie event featured an Oscar-style presentation, beginning with a high-energy video montage highlighting locally produced works posted on LocalLookPeterborough.com.
Host Bill Smith, program manager of Local Look Peterborough, announced the awards with help from guest hosts Aaron Wiederspahn, a local actor/director/ writer; Barbara Miller, chair of the Peterborough Select Board; Pam Brenner, Peterborough town administrator; and Fred Marple of Frost Heaves.
The following winners were recognized at the event: Best Comedy: Frost Heaves, “Yoga For Yankees”; Best Original Music: Nubanusit Neighborhood & Farm, “Musical Intro to Nubanusit”; Best Visual Effects: Sharon Arts Center, “Frame of Mind”; Best Direction: MacDowell Colony, “The MacDowell Colony”; Best Profile Video: Peterborough Players, “Sevanne Martin -- Actress”; Best Narrative: Mariposa Museum, “Mariposa Museum”; Best Series: Town of Peterborough, “All About Town”; Best Documentary: Franklin Pierce University, “The Camino de Santiago: A Unique Walk/Study Abroad Program; Best Action: Eastern Mountain Sports, “No Time! Go to School. Go to Work. Go to Home.”; and Outstanding Achievement: Sharon Arts Center
