Antrim police log: March 28, 2013


Thursday, March 21

Motor vehicle crash: At 7:25 a.m., police responded to Keene Road near Reed Carr Road after receiving a report of ice falling from a moving tractor trailer unit that had struck the windshield of a car traveling behind it, causing damage to the windshield. Phillip Cebollero, 47, of Concord continued to follow the tractor trailer, driven by Bradner Kistner of Charlton, Mass., until Hillsborough police were contacted and arrived to initiate a traffic stop of both vehicles. The drivers were detained until Antrim police arrived to complete a report. No charges are being filed following the incident.

Arrest: At 6:25 p.m., Timothy Booth, 31, of Hillsborough when he turned himself in on a warrant out of the Antrim Police Department . Booth was charged with disobeying an officer, driving with a suspended license, driving with an open container, and failure to obey a stop sign. He was released on $1,000 personal recognizance, and is scheduled to appear in Hillsborough District Court on April 18.

Friday, March 22

Animal complaint: At 5:30 p.m., police responded to a call on Concord Street near Elm Street for report an injured owl. The calling party asked police to hold the owl at the Police Department. Police told the caller that the Police Department does not take wild animals into custody, but there is a woman in Henniker who treats injured birds. Police then assisted the calling party in loading the injured owl into a vehicle, and the owl was taken to Henniker for treatment of a broken wing.

Saturday, March 23

Assist other agency: Dispatch was advised by the Hillsborough Police Department of a hit-and-run accident in the parking lot of Shaw’s. Antrim police located the described vehicle on Concord Street near Cross Road heading south, and stopped the vehicle. The driver was detained by the side of the road until Hillsborough police arrived. The operator stated he was aware he had hit someone, and was taken into custody by Hillsborough police. The victim is local to the Hillsborough area.
