Copley leads group to education honor

The NHASCD (formerly the New Hampshire Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development) was recently selected by the international ASCD organization as the affiliate winner of its 2013 Overall Excellence Award. NHASCD is a non-profit organization of over 950 educators that serves as a catalyst for conversation and action to inspire excellence in teaching, learning and leading.

NHASCD members include teachers, administrators, school board members, college and university students and faculty, leaders of educational organizations, and members of the state’s Department of Education.

The Excellence Award was given in recognition of NHASCD’s professional learning programs, its student chapters for pre-service teachers, its advocacy at the state and national level, its growing membership, and its publications, including the NHASCD Newsletter and the nationally distributed New Hampshire Journal of Education.

The NHASCD’s Executive Director is Dr. Susan Copley of Peterborough. For more information about NHASCD’s programs and services, go to
