Boynton grabs win at home
The Boynton Middle School cross-country teams made it a clean sweep of its home meet on Sept. 17.
The boys finished with 47 points for the win, while the girls totaled 48 to take first.
The South Meadow School boys were second with 80 points, followed by Jaffrey-Rindge Middle School in third with 122. The SMS girls took third with 104 points.
On the individual side, Boynton’s DJ Turner earned the win in a time of 11 minutes and six seconds.
For the girls, Jaffrey-Rindge’s Briana Dionne led the charge to grab the victory in 11:51. Boynton’s Samantha Bilodeau finished third in 12:14, just three seconds ahead of Isabella Mormando of Jaffrey-Rindge.
Boynton’s Samantha Hughson and Sophie Callahan finished seventh and eighth just six seconds apart.
SMS was led by Greta Topping and Anna Taylor, who were 12th and 13th.
Scott Martin of Jaffrey-Rindge finished fourth overall in 11:32, while Colby Knight paced SMS in sixth place overall in 11:44. Boynton’s Zach Allen was seventh.
Members of the Highbridge Hill running club also participated in the race. Audrey Gibson was tops for the girls in 20th and Connor Traffie finished 10th for the boys.
