Rotary launches  Operation Santa

In its 28th year, the Peterborough Rotary Club’s Operation Santa program is inviting neighbors throughout the great Peterborough area to help.

Members of the community may participate by purchasing gifts of needed clothing and toys for children of numerous less fortunate families who are struggling to make ends meet during this holiday season.

Operation Santa Posters will appear by Nov. 20 in the following retail and business locations in Peterborough, Dublin, Greenfield, Hancock and Temple: New Hampshire Ball Bearing, Eastern Mountain Sports, InfoGroup, Rivermead, TD Bank, Hubert’s, ConVal High School, Steele’s, Monadnock Community Hospital, People’s United Bank, Yankee Publishing, T-Bird Mini-Mart, Crotched Mountain Rehabilitation Center, Delay’s Harvester Market, Hancock Market, and Willard’s Store.

To participate in Operation Santa, remove a “gift card” from the poster, purchase the gift specified on the card and then return the unwrapped gift plus the gift card to the original poster location no later than Dec. 8. The Gift Card must be firmly attached to the gift with staples or tape.

For those neighbors who prefer to make a financial contribution to Operation Santa, checks should be made payable to the “Peterborough Rotary Club Operation Santa” and mailed to the Peterborough Rotary Club, PO Box 354, Peterborough, NH 03458-0354.
