Chili cook-off set for Friday at Unitarian Church, Peterborough
The sixth annual Chili Cook-Off will take place Friday beginning at 6 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Church.
The cook-off will consist of a contest followed by the Youth Group’s game night.
The public is invited to attend and help choose the best overall chili, the spiciest chili and the chili with the best name.
A $5 admission pays for a spoon and a tally card. Once a tally card is turned in, voters will then be able to enjoy a bowl of chili and some cornbread. Children under 13 are admitted free.
Entering a pot of chili means the $5 admission is waived.
After prizes are awarded in the dining room, the Youth Group will host a community game night upstairs in the parish hall at 7 p.m. where games of backgammon, Uno, Trivial Pursuit, Bananagrams, Scrabble and more will take place. Refreshments will be served.
The evening is open to all chefs, chili lovers and game enthusiasts. Donations during game night will benefit Free the Children.
