HCS promotes care, IV manager from within

Home Healthcare, Hospice and Community Services has named Cassandra Storms RN, MSN, CNL, as patient care manager for the HCS Eastern Region Office based in Peterborough. Prior to being named to the position, she has been a nurse case manager with HCS, and was with the Cheshire Medical Center. Storms has an M.S. in Nursing Leadership Management from Sonoma State University in Rohnert Park, Calif. She will oversee the nurses, rehabilitation therapists, social workers and aides providing home care in the communities that are served by the Eastern Region Office.

Dee Smith, RN, has been named to the position of IV specialty manager. She is certified by the Infusion Nurse Society. Smith is a lead member of the VNA Health Systems of Northern New England Infusion team and teaches the infusion certification course to nurses statewide. Smith has been the Patient Care Manager for HCS in the eastern region; her role will now be expanded throughout the HCS service area in southwestern New Hampshire.

She has an Associate’s Degree in Nursing and ANCC accreditation in Med-Surg Nursing. Prior to joining HCS, she was with Interim Health Care and with New England Life Care as an IV specialist.

Home Healthcare, Hospice and Community Services is a nonprofit organization providing home care and hospice throughout southwestern New Hampshire to people of all ages.
