Jaffrey, Peterborough, Rindge chambers address workplace stress

Is stress in your workplace affecting the job performance of your employees? How can job-related stress be managed in order to improve productivity and morale? These issues and more will be discussed at a joint chambers breakfast meeting, sponsored by the Jaffrey Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with the Peterborough and Rindge chambers, at the Jaffrey VFW on April 10 from 7:30 to 9 a.m.

The keynote speaker for the event is Richard Dufresne who will be addressing the topic “Don’t Let Stress, Stress You Out,” which will be a presentation on the impact of stress in the workplace. The focus of the presentation is to learn what businesses and individuals can do to address and reduce stress in the workplace. Dufresne is founder and principal of Alliance Consulting HRD. For 20 years he has been providing human resource counseling services, management training and wellness programs to businesses, industries, educational institutions and the financial service industry. In 2011, Dufresne merged his company with the Wellness Corp of Shrewsbury, Mass., and became vice president of Clinical Operations. Wellness Corp is a national firm that provides employee assistance and wellness work life programs as well as organizational developing and training services.

The breakfast meeting is open to the public. The cost for members of any chamber is $10 and $15 for non-members. To register, call Becky Newton at the Jaffrey Chamber of Commerce at 532-4549 or email info@jaffreychamber.com. Registration deadline is April 5.
