Quakers for campaign reform

At its meeting for worship to discuss business held on March 17 the Monadnock Quaker Meeting (Friends) approved the following minutes regarding campaign finance reform:
Monadnock Quaker Meeting of Jaffrey, New Hampshire, urges the New Hampshire Legislature to join the nearly 500 municipalities and 16 other states, including all other states in New England, in calling upon Congress to move toward a constitutional amendment that
1.) Guarantees the rights of our elected representatives and of the American people to safeguard fair elections through authority to regulate political spending, and; 2.) clarifies that constitutional rights were established for people, not corporations.
