Cry for America –enough have died

Don’t cry for us, America! Not for us.

Children of Sandy Hook, concert goers in Las Vegas, worshippers in Charlestown, partiers in Orlando and on and on and on.

No tears. No prayers. No promises. Not from Chief Justice Roberts or Scalia, Alito, Thomas, Kennedy fracturing the Second Amendment. Not from the NRA’s Wayne LaPierre, spreading guns everywhere. Not from Congress, inept and impotent. Not from corporate America finding profit in blood.

Enough of us have died. What must be done is clear. We are tired of your protestions of care and condolence, America.

Enough. Let us rest in peace. Leave us to cherish our moments of living before the errant bullet from the random gun loosed by you, vented death upon us.

Be silent America.

No words. Keep quiet. Stay silent. No relief for you from words of prayer or care. Live with what you have wrought. And wait for the next shooting, and the next and the shameful next.

Do not cry for us. Cry for America.
