Scouts have wreaths, too

Boy Scout Troop 2 is selling Balsam Fir wreaths in various sizes.

The wreaths come in 18 inch, 24 inch, 30 inch, and 36 inches sizes and include a deluxe and six-loop ribbon bow. The troop can also add pine cones, red berries, and beads for an additional $3.

Visit the troop between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Nov. 25, Dec. 2, or Dec. 9 at the Antrim Police Department, Antrim Transfer Station, Hancock Transfer Station, and Hilltop Tree Farm on Norway Hill Road in Hancock.

In the past, troop activities have included two food drives to benefit local food pantries, marching in Memorial Day and Veteran’s Day parades, a week of camping and and sightseeing in New York City, a week at Boy Scout summer camp, hosting a haunted house for Halloween, numerous weekend camping trips around the Monadnock region, honoring the achievement of its newest Eagle Scouts, and hosting a community supper.

Money generated from selling wreaths will be directed toward sending scouts to summer camp.
