A DHART helicopter was called to Mount Monadnock on Monday afternoon to transport a male hiker with a medical issue.

NH Fish and Game Sgt. Delayne Brown said the man was being taken to a hospital in Manchester.

He did not have any information about the man, who he was traveling with, or what his medical issue was.

Jaffrey fire, Dublin police, and additional Fish and Game officers responded to the field near Monadnock Christian Ministries on Dublin Road in case the helicopter was going to land in Jaffrey so the man could be taken to a local hospital via ambulance.

Brown said the DHART paramedic made the decision to bring the man to Manchester.
