Manning entertains

  • Longtime Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary member Joe Manning entertained and amused the club at its recent Woodbound Inn breakfast meeting with history tales of his duel life in North Truro and Jaffrey over the years. He is shown wearing the Park Service uniform issued when he was a docent on Cape Cod – one notable assignment was hosting tours and collecting donations for the moving of the endangered Truro Lighthouse 100 yards back inland. His story of the Snow family of fishermen had captivated the 90 campers at the celebrated BEST program run by the Rotary with partners FPU and the Jaffrey Rindge Middle School. Joe’s presentation was an encore to also amaze the members themselves with his love of history. Courtesy photo—
