Road closures, parking information for Rindge 250 parade

Road closures will start at noon on Saturday, Aug. 11 for the Rindge 250th anniversary parade. 

Road closures will take place around the center common at Rindge Memorial School on School Street, at the transfer station on the north end of Main Street, at the Ingalls Memorial Library at the south end of Main Street, at the Town Office on Payson Hill Road, and at the tower access road on Todd Hill Road.

This area will be used for staging the parade. 

Closings will follow at South Woodbound Road and West Main Street, Bradford Street and West Main Street at Route 202 and Goodall Road at Route 202.

The Transfer Station will close at noon to allow for parking. 

Main Street at Route 119 will close at 12:45 p.m. 

Route 119 will be one lane each way on the eastbound side with intermittent closing for the parade to cross from Main Street. 

The event is rain or shine. 

There will be no parking on the pavement available on the following roads: Main Street north of the common, Route 119 from Main Street to West Main Street, West Main Street, Bradford Street and Goodall Road.

Parking areas for viewing the parade include: Main Street, the Transfer Station, Route 119, The Butternut Apartment building, the grassy area adjacent to Butternut Lane, and the grassy area on the corner of West Main Street and Route 119 and South Woodbound Road (outbound from the West Rindge Common only). 

Please be considerate when parking so others also have access.

Parking for the concert after the parade is allowed on the inbound side of West Main Street towards the West Rindge Common after the conclusion of the parade. 

Residents of West Main Street should invite their friends, family, and others park at their homes. 

Don’t forget to bring lawn chairs and blankets!
