Conant girls win at Belmont

The Conant girls’ track team beat all comers at Belmont this weekend, finishing first out of eight teams.

The Drew twins, Abby and Haylie, took first and second in the 100M dash, with Abby 0.01 seconds ahead of her sister. Haylie won the 200M as well and Abby won the long jump.

Lily Bennett won the 3200M in 14:39.

Jordan Banish was second in the 100M hurdles.

Taylor Banish was second in javelin.

The Oriole girls also won the 4x100 relay.

On the boys’ side, Tyler Sands won the 100M dash in 11.99; he’d also win the 200M.

Mascenic competed in the meet as well, with Meagan Brand winning the high jump and placing second in shot put.

Jake Movsessian won the 1,600M run in 4:42.90. He was third in the 3,200M, with teammates DJ Turner, Michael Fappiano-Putre and Logan Thibault right on his heels.
