A Hancock man was arrested at a local hospital after he was involved in a serious crash on Thursday night.

Hancock police officers arrested Brian Dolan, 33, for driving after suspension and breach of bail conditions.

Officers made the arrest after a 2002 Saturn S-Series sedan crashed into a tree on Bonds Corner Road near Shire Road at about 9:45 p.m. An investigation revealed that the sedan was headed north on Bonds Corner Road when Dolan lost control, crossed the center line into the southbound lane, went off the road, and struck a tree, according to a press release from the police department. The cause of the crash is still under investigation, but speed appears to be a factor.

Dolan was walking around outside of the car by the time police arrived on scene. He was transported to the Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough, where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Dolan was released on $1,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in court on March 7.
