Bank donates $2,500 to RSVP
Monadnock RSVP has received a gift of $2,500 from People’s United Bank. RSVP recruits, screens, and trains adults age 55 and older to enroll as volunteers with 45 nonprofit agencies throughout the Monadnock region. RSVP also is the area’s center for America Reads, a program that enlists adults to help children in kindergarten through third grade become proficient readers.
Monadnock RSVP is a program of Monadnock Family Services and currently fields more than 300 senior volunteers to work throughout the region’s nonprofit community.
“The donation from People’s will help ensure that older adults can continue to use their experience and energy to benefit our region and its residents,” says Philip Wyzik, chief executive officer of Monadnock Family Services.
