Jaffrey police logs: June 12, 2014
Wednesday, June 4
Arrest: At 7:37 p.m., police arrested Christopher Williams, 33, of Jaffrey and charged him with domestic violence. Reports alleged that Williams was intoxicated and verbally abusing individuals on the street and then went into his apartment smashing things. Williams had injured his wrist when he smashed a wall and received medical assistant prior to his arrest. He was released on a $1,000 personal recognize bail with a court date of July 3.
Sunday, June 8
Arrest: At 7: p.m., police arrested Michael Diforte, 22, of Baldwinville, Mass. and Cory Leblanc, 26, of Baldwinville, Mass. for possession of marijuana. Reports indicated the males were stop by a police officers on River Street for driving a car with a smashed windshield and no hood. The officer found out Leblanc had a warrant out of the 8th District Curt-Jaffrey for a $300 cash bail. Both were taken into custody and released on a $1,000 personal recognize bail with a court date of July 3.
Motor Vehicle Accident: At 8:30 p.m., police responded to a two-car accident involving a deer on Dublin Road. Reports said Shawn Cavaretta, 28, of Pepperel, Mass. was driving a 2013 dodge south on Dublin Road when a deer ran into the road. Cavaretta hit the deer and then was hit by Robert Rathburn, 45, of Jaffrey, who was driving a 1997 dodge. Rathburn was transported to a medical center for chest pain and difficulty breathing. Both vehicles suffered minor damages and were driven from the scene.
Monday, June 9
Summons: At 2:37 p.m., police issued a 17 year-old male of Concord, a summons for possession and use of tobacco by minors. While patrolling on Peterborough Street, an officer had seen the male smoking and later on found a package of cigarettes on him.
