Local fish co-op taking sign-ups

For the second year in a row, local fish direct off New Hampshire fishing boats is coming to Peterborough. New Hampshire Community Seafood was created to be a type of farm share for fish, and has now partnered with Brookford Farm’s CSA to create a one-stop shop for farm goods and fish, all along their CSA route, including Peterborough.

Sign-ups for the first season, June 9 to Aug. 7, ends this week.

NHCS is a cooperative of fishermen and consumers who’ve joined together to protect the ocean, sustain New Hampshire’s fishing industry, and support the local economy.

They offer a Community Supported Fishery and a Restaurant Supported Fishery program from June-December that provides consumers and restaurants with a weekly share of the freshest fish available in our waters. The fish is caught and delivered within 24 hours of offload.
