Peer support group for LGBTQ persons

The Monadnock Area Peer Support Agency is launching a support group for men and women, age 18+, who have experienced the emotional difficulties when identifying as an LGBT person with mental health challenges. It will be held on Saturday mornings from 11-12:30 at 64 Beaver Street, Keene. There is no charge to participate.

This support group will provide a safe, stigma- and judgment-free place in which participants can share their stories and both give and receive support from peers who have similar lived experiences. This drop-in group will be facilitated by trained female and male peer co-facilitators, and will meet weekly. The only attendance requirement is to arrive on time. For more information, contact Damien Licata, MAPS Executive Director, at 352-5093.
