Four locals compete in sixth annual Manchester Marathon and Half Marathon

More than 1,500 runners participated in the sixth annual Manchester Marathon and Half Marathon on Sunday.

And four came from the Monadnock region. Thomas Peters of Francestown was the lone competitor in the full marathon, placing 204th in three hours, 40 minutes and 57 seconds. Peterborough’s Brian Stinson finished 152nd in the half marathon in 1:46:13. Chelsea Aro of New Ipswich was 235th in 1:51:49 and Danamarie Movsessian, also of New Ipswich, finished in 2:22:01.

Over 300 more people competed in the marathon this year due to the cancellation of the New York City Marathon.
