Police log – Antrim, Feb. 7, 2013
Wednesday, Jan. 30
Motor vehicle accident: Police responded to a two-car motor vehicle accident on the corner of Old Hancock Road and Clinton Road involving Katherine Sawtelle of Temple, who was operating a 2011 Toyota Camry, while Dakota Nute of Antrim was driving a 1997 Buick LeSabre. Both cars sustained minor damages, but were able to be driven from the scene. No personal injury was reported.
Services rendered: Police assisted the Antrim Fire Department after receiving report of a car fire on Turner Hill Road. The car was approximately 20 feet from a residence when it caught fire, according to pole. Officer Ryan Storro arrived at the scene and assisted the Fire Department, which deemed the fire accidental. The car, a 2002 Ford Focus, belongs to Jonel Reilley of Hancock, who was working at the home of Bob Edwards at the time of the fire. Police later contacted Edwards and told him of the incident. The car was a total loss.
Thursday, Jan. 31
Motor vehicle accident: Police responded to Perry, Weigand and Gurwell Family Dental Care after a report of a minor motor vehicle accident in the parking lot. No damage was done to either vehicle, and no reports were filed. No personal injury was reported.
Saturday, Feb. 2
Arrest: Police arrested Kevin McCaffrey, 46, of Hillborough after conducting a motor vehicle stop and charged him with operating under a suspended license. McCafrey was convicted of DWI in 2011. He was released on $1,500 personal recognizance, and is scheduled to appear in Hillsborough District Court on March 14.
