Jaffrey Post 11 now 4-1 after weekend

The Jaffrey Post 11 Junior Legion Baseball team split its two weekend games and enters play this week at 4-1 overall.

On Sunday, Post 11 suffered its first loss of the season, 8-0 at Bedford. But just one day prior, Jaffrey ran its win streak to four, defeating Keene 2-1.

Keene scored one in the third, but the Post 11 squad took the lead for good with two runs in the fifth. Quinn Williams tied the game with an RBI double to plate Jesse LeBlanc and Tyler Sands knocked in the game-winning run with a single.

Shane Rautiola pitched all seven innings in his second start of the season, striking out four and walking one.

Jaffrey will now play five straight at home starting with tonight’s game versus Milford and Wednesday’s rematch against Bedford.
