Antrim police log: May 16, 2013
Wednesday, May 8
Assist other agency: At 12:25 a.m., dispatch advised police of a motor vehicle accident on South Bennington Road in Bennington. As there were no officers on duty in Bennington, Antrim responded to the scene along with Officer Giffin of Bennington, who was on call. Police found a black BMW with heavy damage and the operator in the front seat already speaking with the Bennington Fire Department. There was damage to the car on all four sides, and airbag deployment from the steering wheel. The operator, Ryan Doyle, 22, of Bennington, was arrested on the scene by Bennington police and charged with driving while intoxicated. He was later transported to Monadnock Community Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Doyle was released on $1,000 personal recognizance and was given a court date of June 6 at Hillsborough District Court.
Thursday, May 9
Arrest: At 5:57 p.m., police attempted to perform a motor vehicle stop on Roger Brissette Jr., 20, of Bennington, for traveling at a high rate of speed on Concord Street heading toward Hillsborough. Brissette then began to pull away in his vehicle and run from the police, traveling through the McDonald’s intersection in Hillsborough, and back into Antrim on Upper Road. Brissette and two other male subjects left the car and began to run from police on foot. All subjects were apprehended in the general area. Brissette was arrested and charged for driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, disobeying and officer, and speeding. He is also being charged by Hillsborough police for reckless driving. Brissette was released on $500 personal recognizance and was given a court date of June 6 in Hillsborough District Court.
