Jaffrey Police Log: June 6, 2013
Thursday, May 30
Arrest: At 9:30 a.m., police received a report of a domestic disturbance on Main Street where a man had allegedly assaulted a woman. Police said they attempted to talk with the man, but he fled on foot, resulting in a police pursuit that ended at a Main Street residence. Robert Labrie, 33, of Jaffrey was arrested and charged with simple assault and resisting arrest. He was released on $1,000 personal recognizance with an Aug. 8 court date at the 8th Circuit Court in Jaffrey.
Friday, May 31
Arrest: At 6:05 a.m., police made a motor vehicle stop on Turnpike Road. The driver, Alex Blackburn, 23, of Jaffrey, was arrested on an electronic bench warrant for a default court summons, charging him with operating after suspension. Blackburn was released on $1,000 personal recognizance with a July 11 court date. The vehicle was towed.
Saturday, June 1
Accident: At 1:06 p.m., police responded to a two-car crash on Squantum Road at Plantation Drive. Frank Dooley, 45, of Rindge, who was driving a 2006 Chevy pickup, allegedly pulled out of Plantation Drive and onto Squantum Road when he struck a 2004 Chevy Malibu, driven by Craig Robert, 52, of Winchendon, Mass. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage and Dooley’s vehicle was towed. There were no reported injuries.
Arrest: At 3:25 p.m., police received a report of marijuana allegedly being smoked outside of a residence on Peterborough Street. As a result of their investigation, police arrested and charged Gerald Davis, 45, of Jaffrey and a 17-year-old Jaffrey resident with possession of a controlled drug believed to be marijuana. Each was released on $1,000 personal recognizance with Aug. 8 court dates.
Sunday, June 2
Arrest: At 10:30 a.m., police arrested Timothy Vorce, 43, of Jaffrey at his residence on River Street on a warrant issued by Jaffrey police, charging Vorce with violation of a restraining order. Police said they had received a report of a violation of a restraining order from a woman, who said the man she has a restraining order against had texted her several times and called her. Vorce was transported to the Cheshire County House of Corrections where he was held without bail to await his arraignment on June 3 at the 8th Circuit Court.
Monday, June 3
Arrest: At 1 p.m., a man came to the police station to report that he had just been assaulted by a woman. At the request of police, Patricia Bellorse, 19, of Jaffrey came to the police station where police spoke with her about the allegations. Bellorse was arrested and charged with simple assault. She was released on $1,000 personal recognizance with a July 11 court date.
