Swanzey man faces sexual assault charges
JAFFREY — A former Rindge man, who is alleged to have sexually assaulted a minor under the age of 13 between 2008 and 2010, waived his right to a probable cause hearing at the 8th Circuit Court, Jaffrey, on Tuesday afternoon.
Scott Andrew Hill, 47, of Swanzey was arrested by Rindge Det. Jeff Seppala, with assistance from Swanzey police and State Police, at his home on July 10. He was charged with four counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault and one count of felonious sexual assault.
Hill is charged with an alleged pattern of sexual assault and forcible fondling, according to a warrant for his arrest. Police said the alleged acts took place in Rindge when both Hill and the victim were residents.
In court Tuesday, Justice L. Phillips Runyon III ordered Hill to have no unsupervised contact with anyone under age 18. He also upheld the $50,000 cash bail required for Hill’s release.
