Search for signs of fall and the arrival of winter. Learn how insects, birds, mammals, and pond creatures prepare for the coming of the cold. Live like a chipmunk, eat like a bear, and change from caterpillar to butterfly. Migrate to the Harris Center for an autumn adventure from 1-3 p.m. Additional sessions on Oct. 4, 11, and 18. Cost is $48 for Harris Center members and $60 for nonmembers. Space is limited. For more information or to register, contact Sara LeFebvre at lefebvre@harriscenter.org or 525-3394.

Hancock: First Session of “My Side of the Mountain” Adventure for Homeschoolers

Learn how to find your way in the woods, build a fire, construct a shelter, collect and eat wild edibles, invent a tool, and tie a knot. From 10 a.m. to noon. Additional sessions are Oct. 4, 11 and 18. Cost is $48 for Harris Center members and $60 for nonmembers. Space is limited. For more information or to register, contact Sara LeFebvre at lefebvre@harriscenter.org or 525-3394.
