Jaffrey officers helped save dog

To the editor:

I want to extend appreciation to two Jaffrey police officers who recently saved a dog that became lost near my Frost Pond property.

The dog had become lodged in dense, distant wetland brush after dark, and had suffered through one of our coldest nights. First thing the next morning the two officers managed to reach it, scooping a shivering dog into their arms, comforting it and keeping it warm. Jaffrey is fortunate to have officers who not only feel this kind of compassion, but act on it.
