Mikhail McGovern — Jami Landry
Jami Landry, daughter of Paul and Glenda Landry of New Ipswich, and Mikhail McGovern, son of Cathy Gronenthal, and the late Richard McGovern, were married June 18, 2013 on a flotilla at Contoocook Lake, Rindge, in a double ring ceremony.
The bride’s family preceded her distributing flowers to friends and family in a non-traditional ceremony.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Mascenic High School, New Ipswich, and earned a Bachelor of Arts from Bard College, Hudson Valley, N.Y., in 2005. She is employed as a licensed veterinary technician at Colonial Veterinary Hospital, Ithaca, N.Y., and is now attending Cornell Veterinary College.
The groom is a graduate of Curtis High School, Staten Island, N.Y., and earned an Associate of Science from SUNY Vester in 2011. He is employed as a licensed veterinary technician at Cornell University Veterinary Hospital.
The couple met eight years ago when they were both working at the Dutchess County SPCA in Hudson Valley, N.Y.
After a wedding trip to Denver, Colo., the couple is residing in Ithaca.
