Green Living

Did you know?

Varnum Brook flows through land protected with the Monadnock Conservancy. The John Kennedy Marshall Memorial Conservation Easement in Peterborough was donated and named in honor of a renowned visual anthropologist and documentary filmmaker whose family also established the Wapack National Wildlife Refuge. The land is directly adjacent to the refuge as well as other conservation easements, and is part of a 7,465-acre contiguous block of protected lands that includes Miller State Park and the Temple Mountain State Reservation.
