MDS hires new staff

Monadnock Developmental Services, the nonprofit organization that provides services to people with developmental and related disabilities, announces the following staff additions.

Kris Madore of Peterborough has joined MDS as adult service coordinator. She’s worked at Crotched Mountain Rehabilitation Center for more than 20 years, including as a house manager, program manager and residential shift supervisor. She has volunteered for New Hampshire Special Olympics, the CMARS program and Winchendon Youth Hockey. Kris attended the University of Maine at Fort Kent before moving to the region.

Shannon Bernier of Antrim has been promoted to Associate Director of MDS-ISO, after several years as program manager in the MDS Peterborough office. Her previous experience has included working with individuals with disabilities and in early education. A graduate of Keene State College, Bernier earned a B.S. in Elementary Education and Sociology. She volunteers for Special Olympics and TRAIL.

Program Manager Brianna Ball of Keene worked at the Children’s Learning Center and Keene Parks and Recreation before MDS. She attended Keene High School and will soon graduate from Keene State College with a degree in Psychology.

Reina Champney of Brattleboro, Vt. comes to the ISO Program Manager position following her work as a Direct Support Professional, working with clients in the Monadnock region. Prior to working in Human Services, Champney honed her administrative, customer service and management skills as general manager in hospitality in Vermont.

Stephanie Fields of Westmoreland brings a wealth of educational experience to the Program Manager position. She served as an instructional paraprofessional in special education in the Keene School District and also taught in the Extended School Year Communication Disorder Collaborative for six summers. She earned a B.A. in Communications from Northeastern University and a Master of Education from Cambridge College.

Jamie Whicker of Bennington joins the ISO team as Program Manager, after several years as a Direct Support Professional for MDS. Jamie also worked at Crotched Mountain Rehabilitation Center for a number of years in food management. Jamie earned an Associates degree in Culinary Science and a Bachelor of Science in Management from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, R.I.

Candi Dionne of Keene joins MDS in a new position as Human Resources Assistant. She brings a number of years of experience in payroll, recruitment, benefits administration with such companies as the Keene Beauty Academy, Westwood Healthcare, Findings Inc. and C&S Wholesale Grocers. Candi earned a degree in Business Science from Hesser College and Certificates from Keene State College in HTML and web design.

Susan Casey of Rindge serves as receptionist at the MDS office in Peterborough. She has worked in a medical setting as receptionist and office clerk, and also worked in administrative positions at Franklin Pierce University. Susan earned her Bachelor of Science and Certificate in Human Services at FPU.
