Society of Manufacturing Engineers honors local man
Sheldon “Skip” Marsh of Rindge was recently honored at the Society of Manufacturing Engineers’s International Awards Gala on June 9 at Cobo Center in Detroit.
“Regardless of the industry, field, degree or background, the 2014 honorees are manufacturing influencers. Their involvement in SME will continue to shape its future and the future of manufacturing for many years to come,” said SME President Michael F. Molnar.
Marsh, president of V&A Cleaning Systems Inc. in Rindge, was the recipient of the Joseph A. Siegel Service Award for dedicating countless hours educating members, manufacturing practitioners, students and parents on the benefits of SME and manufacturing. He has dedicated countless hours to educating members, manufacturing practitioners, students of all ages and parents on the benefits of manufacturing and SME. In 2013, Marsh was instrumental in launching Chapter 124’s “SEE-IT” trailer, which is a mobile-enclosed trailer that travels to various schools and businesses throughout New Hampshire to educate and promote the importance of manufacturing. In 2010, he received the SME President’s Award, and in 2008, Marsh was recognized with the Business Leader of the Year award by the Rindge Chamber of Commerce.
