Wednesday, June 5

Arrest: At 4:30 p.m., a 17-year-old Jaffrey resident turned himself into police on a warrant issued by Jaffrey police for burglary. The 17-year-old was released on $2,500 personal recognizance with an Aug. 8 court date at the 8th Circuit Court in Jaffrey. The warrant was issued as a result of a burglary reported to police on May 29 when it was alleged that the 17-year-old entered a residence at the Duval Mobile Home Park through an unlocked window and stole four Gatorade drinks and a fishing reel.

Thursday, June 6

Arrest: At 1:13 a.m., police responded to a residence on Stratton Road for a domestic disturbance involving two brothers. Terrance Gibson, 42, of Henderson, N.C., was arrested and charged with second-degree assault for allegedly assaulting his brother with a baseball bat. Terrance Gibson was held in lieu of $1,000 cash bail and transported to the Cheshire County House of Corrections to await arraignment. David Gibson, 47, of Jaffrey was arrested and charged with simple assault for allegedly slamming a door and hitting a woman. He was released on $1,000 personal recognizance with a July 11 arraignment date.

Accident: At 2:37 p.m., police responded to Route 119 near the intersection of Old Fitzwilliam Road for a two-car crash, at the request of Rindge police, who said one of their off-duty officers was involved. Erin Minihan, 24, who had stopped her 2000 Oldsmobile in traffic on Route 119 west, told police she saw a vehicle approaching her from behind at a high rate of speed. Minihan’s car was rear-ended by a 1995 Volkswagen, driven by Bradley White, 21, of Winchendon, Mass., according to police. Both White and his passenger were transported to Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough for treatment of minor injuries. Police said neither of the men were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash. The accident is under investigation, with possible charges pending.

Arrest: At 6:42 p.m., police responded to the area of Turnpike Road for report of a woman who was allegedly going through a vehicle. Police located Cyndy Knowles, 50, of Jaffrey and placed her in protective custody for alleged intoxication. She was transported to the Cheshire County House of Corrections where she was held until sober.

Saturday, June 8

Arrest: At 8:10 p.m., police arrested a 17-year-old Jaffrey resident, who they observed walking on Peterborough Street, on a warrant issued by Jaffrey police for operating without a valid license. The 17-year-old was released on $1,000 personal recognizance with a July 23 court date. The warrant was issued as a result of an incident on May 22 when it was alleged that the 17-year-old had driven a family car without permission.

Arrest: At 8:50 p.m., Sherry Anderson, 35, of Jaffrey turned herself into police on a warrant issued by Jaffrey police for controlling the premises where a controlled drug, believed to be marijuana, is kept. She was released on $1,000 personal recognizance with a July 23 court date. The warrant was issued as a result of an investigation by police, who reported finding drugs at Anderson’s residence.

Monday, June 10

Arrest: At 11:40 a.m., police responded to Monadnock Plaza on Peterborough Street after receiving several reports from officers at the 8th Circuit Court that a man had appeared intoxicated when he left the courthouse. Police located Jay Parker, 49, of Peterborough in his car in the plaza parking lot. He was arrested and charged with aggravated DWI. Parker was arraigned at the court and released on $5,000 personal recognizance. His mother and passenger, Ruth Parker, 78, of Peterborough, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and simple assault. Police said Ruth Parker assaulted a member of the Jaffrey police force, threatened to shoot people and resisted arrest. She was released on $1,000 personal recognizance with a July 11 court date.

Tuesday, June 11

Arrest: At 12:54 a.m., Nashua police called Jaffrey police to report that they had arrested Essence Thompson, 21, of Nashua on a warrant issued by Jaffrey police for allowing an improper person to operate, driving an unregistered vehicle and negligent driving in March. She is scheduled to appear at the 8th Circuit Court in Jaffrey on July 11.
