Tuesday, July 23

Accident/arrest: At 6:43 p.m., police responded to a single-car crash on Pine Eden Road. On arrival, police found a 2000 Ford Ranger off the road and resting on its driver’s side in an embankment. The driver, Wanda Gannon, 43, of Rindge, was reportedly sitting on the ground near the vehicle. Gannon was arrested and charged with DWI. She was transported to the Cheshire County House of Corrections where she was held overnight until her arraignment the next morning. Gannon complained of neck and back pain and was transported by Jaffrey-Rindge Memorial Ambulance to Monadnock Community Hospital for treatment. She was later released. The car was towed.

Friday, July 26

Accident: At 5:45 p.m., police responded to a two-car crash on Route 202 near Hunt Hill Road. Shane Malone, 26, of Ashby, Mass., was driving his 2012 Subaru southbound on Route 202 when he reportedly put his turn signal on and then decided not to turn. Francis Hull, 61, of Baldwinville, Mass., who was driving a 2004 Dodge Stratus, was traveling behind Malone and, according to police, was unable to avoid a collision. Both cars were towed from the scene. Malone was cited for failure to yield. There were no reported injuries.

Saturday, July 27

Accident: At 2:55 p.m., police responded to an accident on Golf Course Lane. Neil Greenfield, 73, of Greenport, N.Y., was driving his Toyota Prius on Golf Course Lane when he allegedly struck a towing cable that was lying across the roadway. A local towing company was pulling a blue Mercury Sable out of a ditch at the time, according to police. Greenfield told police he never saw the cable.

Sunday, July 28

Arrest: At 4:20 p.m., police responded to Walmart for an alleged shoplifting. Erin Huntley, 19, of Bellingham, Mass., was arrested and charged with willful concealment for allegedly attempting to steal $62 worth of merchandise from the store. Huntley was released on $1,000 personal recognizance with an Aug. 7 court date at the 8th Circuit Court, Jaffrey.

Arrest: At 11:37 p.m., police were conducting a civil standby on Elmi Drive so that Matthew Gray of Rindge could pick up his vehicle, when they allegedly observed an argument between Gray and Jennifer Blanchard, 36, of Rindge, who had borrowed the car from Gray . Police said Blanchard threw the keys at Gary, causing injury. Blanchard was arrested and charged with simple assault, domestic violence related. She was released on $5,000 personal recognizance with an Aug. 7 court date.
