Wednesday, Aug. 21
Motor vehicle accident: At 3:20 p.m., Kimthan Duong, 41, of Troy called to report that his 2013 Subaru Impreza had been struck while parked at TFX Medical on Plantation drive. The vehicle sustained minor damage and was able to be driven from the scene. There were no witnesses.
Thursday, Aug. 22
Arrest: At 7 p.m., officers went to a residence on Squantum Road to serve an arrest warrant to a 17-year-old Jaffrey resident. The warrant charges the youth with conspiracy to commit disorderly conduct. He was not taken into custody. Instead, he was released with a must-appear summons to appear at the 8th Circuit Court, Jaffrey, on Sept. 26. The warrant was the result of an incident reported on Oct. 2, when police received a motor vehicle complaint for disorderly conduct.
Friday, Aug. 23
Arrest: At 2:31 a.m., officers made a motor vehicle stop on Squantum Road for a speeding violation. Police arrested the driver, Kristiana Doherty, 23, of Rindge, and charged her with driving with a suspended registration and suspended licence. She was released on $1,000 personal recognizance with a court date at the 8th Circuit court, Jaffrey, on Oct. 3.
Saturday, Aug. 24
Arrest: At 1:25 a.m., officers received a report of a motor vehicle with a possibly intoxicated driver. Officers located the vehicle, a 2002 Chevy Cavalier on Peterborough Street at Mr. Mikes. The officers followed the vehicle from Webster Street to Oak Street, where the vehicle stopped. The vehicle ultimately parked facing the wrong way on the road with its lights off. Officers arrested the driver, Arthur Joslin, 43, of New Ipswich and charged him with DWI. He was released on $1,000 personal recognizance with a court date of Sept. 5.
Monday Aug. 26
Motor vehicle accident: At 9:05 a.m., police responded to a single-car accident on Peterborough Street. The operator, John Elser, 24, of Milford, advised police that while driving his 2008 Toyota Yaris, he fell asleep and drove off the westbound portion of the road, causing extensive damage to his vehicle. Elser was not injured, and had already contacted AAA and was waiting for them to arrive.
Summons: At 6 p.m., police issued a summons for open container to Shawn Seymour, 50, of Swanzey, after police allegedly found him on Rails to Trails drinking a beer. He was issued a summons for open container, which has a $100 fine.
Protective custody: At 9 p.m., officers were dispatched to Stratton Road for report of someone who had tried to break into a residence and then sat down in the middle of the street on Hamilton Court. Police located the man on Stratton Road. Police placed John Bishop, 19, of Jaffrey into protective custody due to intoxication. At 11:23 p.m., he was transported to the Cheshire County House of Correction. The attempted burglary report is being investigated.
Tuesday, Aug. 27
Arrest: At 1 a.m. on the Rails to Trails, officers located a woman drinking a Smirnoff Ice. Police issued the woman, Lynn Dumas, 46, of Jaffrey a summons, which must be answered in 30 days. She also had two beers, and when asked who they belonged to, she replied they were there when she arrived. Officers checked the area and heard someone leave in the direction of Peterborough Street. Officers ultimately located Joshua Lane, 23, of Jaffrey, who was found asleep in the dugout of the legion ball field. Lane was issued a summons for open container. There was also a warrant issued by the Keene Circuit Court for him, charging him with criminal trespass. He was taken into custody on the warrant; he was released on $725 cash bail and issued a court date of Oct. 10 at the 8th Circuit court, Keene. At 3:21 a.m. after being released, Lane walked out of the Police department, where he allegedly cracked open a beer, which he had on his person when he was arrested. The beer was taken from him and Lane was issued another summons for open container.
