Rindge police logs: Sept. 19, 2013
Thursday, Sept. 12
Negligent Driving: At 2 p.m., police received a report of a vehicle driving recklessly at the Cathedral of the Pines, and police subsequently stopped the vehicle. The driver, Randy Coponen, 19, of Campobello, S.C., was charged with negligent driving and issued a must-appear summons with a court date of Nov. 6 at 8th Circuit Court, Jaffrey.
Arrest: At 2:45 p.m., police arrested and charged Rachel Ouellette, 18, of Rindge with willful concealment. Ouellette allegedly had $29.36 worth of merchandise from the Walmart in Rindge. Police released Ouellette on condition of must-appear summons with a court date of Nov. 6 at 8th Circuit Court, Jaffrey.
Friday, Sept. 13
Arrest: At 10:50 p.m., following a motor vehicle stop on Wellington Road, police arrested and charged Charles Colburn, 48, of Antrim, with DWI and domestic violence-related simple assault. Colburn was transported to Cheshire County House of Corrections and put in protective custody. He was released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail with a court date of Nov. 6 in 8th Circuit Court, Jaffrey.
Saturday, Sept. 14
Burning tires: At 1:30 a.m., police responded to an incident on Route 119 near West Main Street, where tires where burning in the road. The Rindge Fire Department extinguished the fire, and the case is currently under investigation.
Alcohol: At 11:35 p.m., police responded to the Franklin Pierce Lakeview One apartment building where Amanda Tapparo, 19, of Topfield, Mass., was charged with unlawful possession of alcohol and was issued a must-appear summons with a court date of Nov. 6 at 8th Circuit Court, Jaffrey. She was transported to Monadnock Community Hospital for an underlying medical issue.
